Catalyst work through an extensive process with each candidate to ensure that any migration decision made is the right one. This process starts once we receive your application and have identified that we can assist you with your search for employment in New Zealand.

The first step will be an initial conversation; this can take at least an hour. The purpose of this conversation is to establish your current circumstances, expectations (timing, salary and lifestyle) and knowledge of the NZ market including any research you may have completed regarding what it takes to make a successful move to NZ. We will explore all sorts of scenarios specific to you and in the process, through our extensive experience, help you identify all of the possible risks, so that you will be making an informed decision. Migrating is never a straight forward process. We are not Licensed Immigration Advisers, but we have worked through this process literally thousands of times. A move to NZ does not happen over night and as such it is essential to prepare/research as much as you can in order to give yourself the best chance of securing a role with a NZ employer.

Before we can talk about representing you with our clients we need to know that you are 100% committed to making a move to NZ. We will not represent candidates who are merely dipping their toe in the water. However saying that, we are happy to talk and provide information to anyone looking to learn more about the NZ market and associated roles.

Once we are happy that you have identified and articulated you compelling reason for a move to New Zealand, we will help you put a plan in place for your application and discuss the clients we feel are appropriate for you. At this stage we may well ask for further information to ensure your CV is in the best possible shape for the NZ market, i.e. as much information as possible.
